Dandridge N. Washington was charged on Feb. 17, with two counts of felony eluding a police officer in connection with the high speed chases on Feb. 16. Police say the chase went on much of the day after beginning on Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Mo. The chase started at around 2:11 p.m.
Police say the vehicle was traveling as fast as 110 miles per hour during the chase. The chase lasted approximately 29 minutes.
The District attorney charged 26-year-old Dandridge N. Washington, of Kansas City, Kan. Tuesday afternoon in connection with the high speed chase. He was charged with two counts of felony eluding a police officer in connection with two separate pursuits Monday, Feb, 16. The first occurred in Kansas City, Kan., and was terminated when the vehicle fled into Missouri. The second originated in Missouri and ended with Washington’s arrest at 18th and Short in Kansas City, Kan.
Washington is in custody in the Wyandotte County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond.
You may notice that part at the end of the video where the driver of the car gets his FUCKING ASS KICKED by the police.
Now there is a lot of controversy here in Kansas City about whether some of the police officers used excessive force. I'm sure some of the boring local bloggers who continually harp and shriek away on the same tired notes will yell about racism, racial profiling, cultural divides and blah, blah, blah.
But there is a much simpler explanation of what happened and a much easier way to prevent such incidents in the future.
Apparently our local residents have forgotten the A,B,C's of how NOT to get your ass kicked by the police.
Here is a remedial training course, presented by The Hip Suburban White Guy as a community service.
You're welcome.

Never mind that the asshole suspect endangered hundreds of lives driving 20-40 MPH MORE than posted speed limits during the chase (we listened to the pursuit here BTW).
Still- we don't designate our law enforcement officers to dole out what THEY think is justice to any given perp.
Most of the perps would be badly maimed or dead if that were the case.
If I- if WE allow the cops to beat-down one perp- I'm giving them license to do that to everybody.
Is that right?
