sue - I think Ansel Adams is overrated. How could you take a BAD photo of snow covered mountains, in Yosemite, using large format B&W cameras on tripods?
It's like, if you are taking nude photos of the most beautiful woman in the world, even your crappiest work is going to look great.
A good model can elevate a good photographer to being percieved as a great photographer.
Not saying I'm in his league AT ALL! From his league, you couldn't spot me with the fucking Hubble Space Telescope.
I don't even claim to be a photographer. I'm more like a chimpanzee who stole a zoo vistor's camera.
I keep hitting the shutter button hoping for a banana. I do that often enough that sometimes I get lucky.
Having access to Photoshop makes my mediocre, touristy, snap shots look better than they deserve.
I'm more of an illusionaist than a photographer. It's all smoke and mirrors.
But I enjoy it and that's all that really matters to a liberal like me.
I think you're harsh on yourself XO. If I were to critique them I'd say the focus is a little soft but I prefer a very sharp focus so it may just be personal preference.
The composition angle could be tweaked.
They're pretty sound shots and I always enjoy photos that make us think about change and what's been lost and why.

Looks like you used up all the color back in Kansas
I found a lot more color in Butler, MO. I'll post those pictures later.
XO - I like 1, 2 & 4 the best.
I love B & W.
Do you like Ansel Adams XO?
What a socialist hell-hole! /sarcasm

They can use something like these in Kenya, so that when it rains, the cat meat won't get soggy.
I'd bet that Barrack Hussein would be willing to sell some bonds to fund it.
That's why God made B&W. Very nice.
XO, what are you doing for post processing or are you getting that right out of the camera?
Ducky - I use Photoshop. More often than not it's manipulating HD .jpg shots on Photoshop.com.
I haven't graduated to the professional sophistication of shooting in .RAW and using Photoshop Elements. Except on rare occasions.
My crap isn't worth that much effort.
I'm just a hack with a hobby.

Hell X, I just point and shoot. So everything you take looks better than what I post. Don't be so disparaging.
On yourself.
