Government report: Al Qaeda strongest since September 11, 2001

Six years.

$405,000,000,000.00+ For the mathematically challenged, that's over four hundred BILLION dollars. That's a rough average of $185,000,000.00 (one hundred and eighty five million dollars) every fucking day. $7,000,000.00 (seven million dollars an hour). $116,000.00 (one hundred and sixteen thousand dollars) per minute.

Over 3,600 American soldiers killed. Over 26,000 (most conservative estimate) wounded.

The result?

"Al Qaeda is the strongest it has been since the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, a new U.S. government analysis concludes, according to a senior government official who has seen it."

The White House response?

"The White House's view is that "over the past six years, we have prevented attacks from al Qaeda by taking the fight to them," a senior administration official said."

Bull. Fucking. Shit.

There was no al Qaeda in Iraq before we got there! The only reason they are there now is because we fucked things up so spectacularly that al Qaeda recruits and wannabes can pour into Irag like a biblical deluge and attack us at will.

We have done nothing but pour fuel on the fire and provided the terrorists with an increased motivation and a training ground for killing Americans. Not just American civilians, either. Now they have six years of experience killing the most advanced and well equipped armed force the world has ever known in locations as protected and as hardened as we can possibly make them. And still they succeed.

"Bush told a friendly audience here that the additional troops he ordered to Iraq have only recently arrived to join the fight. "I believe that it's in this nation's interests to give the commander a chance to fully implement his operations. And I believe Congress ought to wait for General Petraeus to come back and give us an assessment of the strategy that he's putting in place before they make any decisions," Bush said at a town hall appearance."

We haven't succeeded in 6 years, but the next 60 days will make all the difference in the world.

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

This is a faith-based (faith=belief without evidence) administration with absolutely no connection with reality whatsoever. And Americans continue to die every day because our president and vice president are blind to fact-based reality.

How can anyone with over 32 brain cells continue to support this administration's idiotic, self-destructive policies with a straight face and any semblance of self respect?

And we have Chertoff saying he has a "gut feeling" something could happen this summer on our soil. What kind of crap is that? Either warn us with conviction or shut up. He is worthless. Can't protect our borders because he says he doesn't have the tools he needs and we're supposed to trust this guy to protect this country?????

XO, your outrage is well-placed and extremely well-said.

We sing we dance we steal things said...

Couldn't have said it better myself. They refuse to protect our border and spend billions in Iraq, telling us if they don't then the evil ones will come to us.
Now they tell us the other day after spending billions over there the evil ones are coming to a city near you and we still refuse to protect your borders WTF.
Who voted for this guy?

War on Terror vs. War on Drugs

I almost can't tell the difference anymore.
