For those who couldn't attend
I've scanned in the program from today's service. Click on them to embiggen.
You may be pleased (or horrified) to learn that many of the comments that were left on the post announcing Greg's passing were edited and read aloud at the service, in the church, in front of the ministers and congregation, by a very dignified little church lady.
It was quite entertaining to hear her remind everyone that Greg liked to hang out with strippers and then proceed to read the HIGHLY edited comments:
"Greg honey, I will be there with my red hoochie dress on as requested, I promise..."
"Consider a slutty red dress with requisite ****-** pumps being donned in Calcutta, USA."
and my favorite...
"...and I even miss that big-*** arm of yours across the back of my neck, pinning me to my barstool when I've had way too many and I'm itching to play hopscotch on the skull of some douche at the other side of the round bar whose face I just don't like."
It was a nice service.

My favorite part is "Although he did not attend church services, he was a spiritual man. It is reported that Greg said his first curse words at the age of 4 and blazed his way onward from that point."
BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.
Yup.
Thanks so much for posting this - I wish I would have been able to attend.
Cara - You were there in spirit. Your comment was one of the ones read at the service. Just thought you should know.
That's very cool. Didn't know Greg, but after attending more funerals than I'd like in the past few years, I do have a newfound respect for the ritual.
He sounds like a guy worth knowing; I'm sad I never will.
The dignified little church lady who was reading condolences was one of Greg's aunts. She did a great job of editing some of those comments, didn't she?
