Romney
Michael Mahoney at KMBC did a pretty fair job of glossing over the basics of Romney's Mormon faith.
Here is another video that goes into a bit more detail. This is what you are getting as Leader of The Free World if you vote for Mitt Romney.
Not exactly mainstream, fundementalist, evangelical, right wing, neo-con, conservative, Reagan Republicanism, now is it?

Jesus Christ, I mean, well, you know what I mean... This is classic!
Where did you find this tidbit? My only regret is that I'll never know the real story of Greg and Jolene...
stink - I've actually visited The Garden of Eden. It's just north of Ray County, where I used to live. Up around Gallatin. There are many large rocks [alters].
The Site of His Second Coming is just north of Independence Avenue (Hooker & Meth Highway), not far from President Truman's Home.
Yeah, that's some mainstream Baptist-compatible stuff.
Oh, and Jolene?
Yeah. I tapped that.
Sounds perfectly reasonable . An excellent documentory. They left out the part about Smith getting his messages from God by peering into his hat. Must have been a helluva big hat. Funny yet scarey as well.
I'd say this is about 90% in line with what I was (eventually) taught about Mormon theology - it's a little sensationalist but really not too far off the mark. Of course, when the nice, freshly scrubbed missionaries are teaching you about how much God loves you that all somehow doesn't make it into the six discussions. They also don't tell you that for a woman to go to the highest level of heaven she has to be married to a worthy Mormon man who gets to choose if she gets to come with him into eternal life. No wonder so many Mormon wives are a bit neurotic.
Who's the young blonde guy? I totally recognize him from TV.
/I'm begging of you please don't take my man, Jolene.
