A Little Help Here?

There's a relatively new blog (6 months old?) in town called

What's race got to do with it? Tales of a white woman in the hood.

I'm 99% sure I know who the author of the blog is, but since she doesn't identify herself by name on her blog, I'm certainly not going to do so here.

What I can reveal is that this is a blog written by a highly intelligent, incredibly idealistic woman who, is living what she believes. She is literally (in my humble opinion) laying her life on the line to prove a point. I wish her the best of luck with that from my relatively safe suburban cul de sac.

She has been posting some very insightful and challenging posts regarding race relations in Kansas City from what I consider to be a very unique perspective.

I have felt compelled to leave my typically verbose and rambling comments on a couple of her posts.

The problem is, apparently I'm the only person reading and commenting!

It's hard to have a vigorous and thoughtful conversation on important topics if no one else is listening or talking.

So pretty please, with sugar on it, go read the fucking blog and maybe leave a comment.

You are a good blogizen. As a white women who lived in the hood before and engages in social activism in the hood now, my interest is piqued! I will get over there soon Sir. Thank you.

I've had her in my Google Reader. But haven't really commented (that I remember). I do have her on the Kansas City Bloggers blog.

I had to delete my comment I just didn't want to give her the satisfaction of pissing me off.

This will probably never be seen since it is a few days old post, but I'm sure the good Professor agrees with it. I know you don't give a hang about any religion, but nonetheless, it does play a role in politics, in this case the politics of Obama who remains a committed member of this crazy church doctrine.
