Around Kansas City

I was really pleased when they decided to restore the old TWA building, rather than turn it in to a parking lot or bufucklo wild wings. I have several pics of my own of it. Harkens back to my youth when people shopped downtown.

midtown - I remember that myself. Although it stopped being TWA HQ when I moved here in 1964, it was a TWA office building until 1969 and my dad worked for TWA, so I remember it well.

BTW, TWA of course stands for Trans World Airlines. But it started off as Transcontinental Air Transport. I'm surprised that a horndog like Howard Hughes didn't name the company Trans World Air Transport...TWAT.

That's what I would have done. But I'm just cool like that.

Being that I've never been to KC, the pictures you post are all I know of it.

It certainly looks interesting. The mix of sculptures is definitely not ordinary. And I want to do my chrysanthemums like that this fall.

Who knew KC had things like this to look at? Seriously, I'm not being funny.
