This is an ADHD nightmare. Too much stuff to look at all at one time. I'd probably have a seizure.

But two questions: how do you do this, and why would you want to?

I have enough trouble with the one little laptop screen I have.

But you only have the one keyboard? Pshhh, lightweight.

emaw - yeah, just 1 keyboard. But it's a Logitech G15 gaming keyboard, so suck it!

I have two monitors at work, but at home I don't like to spread my porn around.

Nice desk.

stink - the very desk I was on the verge of casting aside in favor of a more diminutive and practical "computer desk". The desk that was saved by your sage council. Thanks again for that sound advice.

To the first commentator. You need a dual output video card or a machine capable of 2 video cards, rather easy to set up. Most modern cards today have dual dvi, VGA or a combination of them today.

XO: Two 30" wide screen displays would be manly.

Wow, and I thought I was a geek...

That still leaves my second question unanswered:

why would you want to?

satyavati - since you asked, "more porn than you can shake a stick at!" LOL! Actually, it just makes cutting and pasting from different sources a lot easier. Plus, you can watch videos on hulu.com on one monitor while playing games on another. It's one of those things that you don't know you need until after you get it. Like the difference between dial-up and broadband.

I've had dual monitors at work for over a year now.

I have had a single flat panel at home for years, but upgraded the size twice (cuz sometimes it DOES matter).

At work, dual flat panels are the new laptop, that is to say the new status symbol.

XO, your setup is OK, but... for the kick ass Vaders bathroom look you gotta go bigger and limit yourself to one color (preferably black as The Ds soul). Seriously tho I am kinda jealous.

Satyavati devi dasi, nobody needs this setup. It just allows you to do something productive in one screen while you frag the noobs on the other! And on the how, if you have a laptop, it will probably let you expand your desktop to an external monitor for the same effect.
