News Anchor Blogs
I'm sick of hearing news anchors talking about "my blog" on the air.
I don't know how many stations are doing this, but KSHB, about the only local news I watch, is doing the shit out of it.
Every single news story seems to end with "Read more about it on my blog. My blog. My blog. My blog."
Christa has a blog, Jeff has a blog, Brett has a blog, Elizabeth has a blog (but it's a hoity toity blog that you have to log into), same thing with Clegg's blog, Lezak has a blog,
EVERYBODY HAS A FUCKING BLOG!
But they aren't really blogs.
If you are an employee posting information on a website paid for by the network you work for, which is branded by your network, which is peppered with ads for sponsors who advertise on your network, and most of your "posts" are expansions on news stories featured on the network broadcast news program that you anchor, THAT'S NOT A BLOG!
It's nothing more than a transparent ploy to get more consumers to view more ads under the bogus guise of making a "personal connection" with your favorite newsie through their "blog".
I call bullshit.
I'll believe these are "real blogs" when I see a post from Jeff Vaughn confessing "I know I just got married and I really love my wife but I just can't take my eyes off of Christa's rack! Goddamn! I don't care that she's married! If I were still single I would tap that shit in a New York second! I'm such a horndog!"
Or a post by Brett Anthony that says "Lezak Recurring Cycle my ass! It's fucking weather! Shit happens! It's hot, it's cold, it's dry, it's wet! Stop over-thinking shit! And GET RID OF THOSE FUCKING DOGS! This place is crawling with fleas! I'm itching like a junkie jonesing for a fix over here!"
Or a post from Mark Clegg that says "It's true. And there isn't anything wrong with that."
But I would especially look forward to a post from 40-something MILF Elizabeth Alex discussing her recent marriage to her 20-something Romanian boy-toy.
THAT, my friends, would be blogging that I would add to my Goggle Reader. I might even Twitter them.

That piece of shit Huffington Post isn't a blog either. If you get paid my a corporation then its not a blog as far as I'm concerned.
