The Boston Dynamics "BigDog"

This is awesome! I want one. But before it can have any military applications they are going to have to equip it with a nuclear powered electric motor with silencers or something because that mosquito on steroids sound = FAIL.

It needs a face. Maybe something like this...

Oh, and it needs to shoot lasers like this:

Maybe it could poop landmines too, like this guy...

What the hell has he been eating?!?

here is a much better application of science. Try typing the word "trampoline"

Hmmm... let's see... The military developing self-sufficient, artificially intelligent robot soldiers.

Nope, nothing can possibly go wrong with this.

emaw - they actually work much better than a Star Wars At-At.

On a side note, I think that self-sufficient, artificially intelligent robot soldiers would, in the long run, do less harm to society than paranoid, ill-informed right-wing voters anxious to surrender dearly bought liberties for the illusion of short-term safety.

But hey, that's just me! What do I know?

XO, that's where you would be wrong, as numerous movies such as Terminator, I Robot, 2001 Space Odyssey, Westworld, etc. have proved time and again.

Now, the robots probably ARE less dangerous that self-deluding, ill-informed liberal so-called progressives willing to support candidates who say they are for change but really just want voters to surrender dearly bought liberties for the illusion of short-term safety.

But that's a whole different discussion.

First of all K-9 had a laser up his nose, so take that sharks!

Second, if the military is serious the robo-whatever needs to be amphibious.
