This Is Why Republicans Won't Take Control In November

In a nutshell, it's because they are running batshit crazy candidates that no swing voter is going to cast a ballot for.

Christine O'Donnel, Republican, Delaware: The Lying, Anti-Masturbation, Anti-Evolution, Palin-Endorsed Witch

Sharron Angle, Republican, Nevada: The Neo-Prohibitionist, Anti-U.N, Anti-Social Security, Anti-Education, Tea Party Republican who won the Primary against the Chicken Barterer

Carl Paladino, Republican, New York: The Sexist Fag Hater!

And last but not least...

Rich Iott, Republican, Illinois: The Nazi SS Jew Killing Renactor

"Republican congressional candidate Rich Iott, under fire for dressing as a Nazi in World War II reenactments, attacked House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) on Monday for repudiating his participation “before he had all the facts.”

In an interview on CNN, Iott defended his role in the reenactments and offered harsh criticism of Cantor, one of the highest profile Jewish lawmakers in Washington.

“Rep. Cantor did what so many career politicians do…he reacted before he had all the facts,” Iott said. “He didn't know the whole story. He didn't understand what historical reenacting is all about, or the education side of it. And he just made a decision without all the facts.”

Jesus Fucking Christ in a chicken basket!

These are the best candidates that the Republicans can field? Because every other Republican candidate was too moderate?

I'm betting on the American people to vote for the SANE candidates.

Iott had to go and pick Waffen SS to re-enact? those were the folks who organized the worst atrocities the Nazi perpetrated on the world. what a major douche. I think it should be legal to shoot anyone who puts that obscene uniform on for ANY reason. And while I'm at it, all those johny-reb wannabes who put on a CSA uniform should be charged with sedition. Why anyone would put on the uniform of a bunch of slave-driving rednecks is just a mystery to me. There are some things that do not merit re-enacting, and the SS and CSA are at the top of that list.

I don't have any problem with Civil War re-enactors. Both sides were Americans and it was THE pivotal event in our country's history.

But Nazi re-enactors? Seriously? How could anyone think that's OK? What does that say about their judgement?

I would vote against just about anybody who was running against Harry Reid including Angle. As far as I am concerned he has had a direct, negative impact on me and my entire family.

As for O'Donnel, I'd have a really hard time voting for her. Can't believe she supposedly holds a Masters Degree. Never held a job. No cred. Tea partiers screwed up on this one, royally.

I know one guy who is a WW II reenactor. The key part of that word is the last five letters - actor. They're about the battles - strategy, etc. They retrace Patton's steps, etc. Military history nuts. They're not about the gas chambers. They're playing the game of Risk. But, then, in his day and age, everything and everybody is demonized when it comes to politics.

I doubt Republicans will take the Senate but the House is gone for the Democrats.

You guys got some doozies too by the way. Alvin Greene isn't exactly Einstein.

JOOLS - I understand the re-enACTOR thing. When I was a kid we played "Army". We were inspired to do this by our fathers who had served in WWII less than 20 years before, and the Vic Morrow "Combat!" series on TV.

We has access to Army Surplus stores where we could get real WWII helmets, backpacks, web belts, cantines, the works.

In these games, obviously, somebody had to be the Americans and somebody had to be the Germans.

So I get it.

However.

If you know that there are pictures of you dressed in a Nazi uniform floating around, please realize that the context doesn't matter. Don't even bother to announce a political campaign.

Same rule applies if you have ever appeared on national TV talking about dating witches or hating gay people.
