More Cooley Lake Photos


This is rapidly becoming one of my "go to" locations. I won't be happy until I get some pics of the skiddish herons that frequent the wetlands.

But in the meantime, here is what I captured.



Apparently, Dragonflies really like dry humping corn stalks.







Here's some kind of flower. Might be a thistle. No idea.

Also - we live not too far from a frog pond and it used to be an after supper treat to approach the pond -
and watch the frogs(some really fat ones)leap into the water as they heard us coming - always with a loud croak.
