Goddamn Brainless Giant Rodents Part 2

I got my jeep back today!

And I want to sing the praises of the Galen Boyer Body Shop.

I'd never dealt with them before. They were recommended by my insurance company.

I had AAA tow my jeep there on Tuesday after killing the deer. Picked it up this afternoon.

Brand new windshield in a brand new frame was all I expected, and I got that.

There had been a couple of dents in my hood from the time I opened it up to check my oil and the wind caught the hood and threw it back against the top of my jeep. The dents were old enough that they had started to rust. Had nothing to do with the deer collision. The dents were fixed and painted.

The jeep was washed, waxed and detailed inside and out.

A long time ago a bottle of mouthwash had leaked all over the front passenger seat and left a big, white, crusty stain in the seat. I tried and tried to get that stain out and never could. When I picked up the jeep the stain was gone and the upholstery was like new.

I was very impressed with how far above and beyond they went. My jeep hasn't looked this good since the day I bought it.

All for my State Farm $100 deductible.

I may just make it a point to body slam a fucking deer every six months or so.

Good job, Galen Boyer!

XO - All's well that ends well.

I hope that this is your last encounter with the 'dear' creatures.

I'm sure they billed the insurance company and will be reimbursed handsomely even for the work that was not accident related, but what the hell...for once I'm glad to see somebody actually benefited from their insurance company.

Nu?
From the Jeep's point of view, you've been nothing but bad news then?
