A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words

Here is who Imus thought was talking...

a hip, cutting edge "shock jock", with his turned-up-Elvis-collar, pushing the edge of the broadcasting envelope.

Here is who everyone heard...

a frail, old, worn out, rascist, semi-senile, nappy-headed white guy who has kept talking long past the point where anyone found him funny.

Here is everyone's reaction...

He does have a face made for radio, doesn't he?

Seriously, I think this is why he was punished and people like Ann Coulter and Isaiah Washington keep right on working -- don't be famous and fugly; that ain't no joke.

I worked hard on a deeply honest post addressing my feelings about racism and being a member of the dominant demographic, and then I come here and see you hit the ball out of the park in just a few words and pictures. Good work.

You never disappoint me XO! Im with dan. Ive been struggling with a post that reflects my disgust and addresses the arguments in defense of Imus. You saved me the work as Im just going to link to this!

Just to give credit where credit is due...

It was the juxtaposition of the pic that emaw had posted on his site (http://3oclockam.blogspot.com/2007/04/new-n-word.html#links) with the pic that Yahoo had posted on theirs that gave me the inspiration.

I've added another pic from CNN that I found particularly appropriate.

Imus isn't edgy or funny, he's just sorry. But, millions of people listen to his shit and there's a lot of advertising money spent on his show. Or, was. We'll see if this is the last of Imus or not.
