New Year, New Look

I know you are all just DYING to see the newly trimmed look.

OK, one person was mildly curious and suggested I post a picure.

So, just to recap, I was going for something like the Robert Altman look.

This was me before the trim.

This is me after the trim.

It's a subtle change, but I think I like it.

The girlfriend approved.

What do you think?

It's NICE on the planet where I live!!!

Alright.

The actual difference isn't quite so dramatic and I still haven't made up my mind. For one thing, I've been keeping the facial hair trimmed down to the lowest setting. I'll have to stop doing that to achieve the "tuft" effect.
I also didn't stop to think that what little pepper was left in my salt and pepper beard was in the very area that I would be trimming. So between trimming it close to the skin and removing the pepper, I think I've effectively rendered my goatee invisible.

So here is what it looked like before...

and here is the new look.

I really need to reduce the resolution on my digital camera. YIKES! Way too much reality.

Anyway, I need to let the moustache, the soul patch and the Altman tuft thicken up and stop trimming so close, but I might be able to cultivate something. Probably need to lose the Hulk Hogan things on the sides.

Hell, I don't know.

What do you think?

Too gay?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If you're gay.

Which I'm not.

Now ya see, it was the invisible touch that I was afraid of.

Come back when you thicken your tuft.

Hey, you can now quit your job and get a new one as a barista at Starbucks.

eolai - that is what I was afraid of too. I might be better off just shaving everything.

ben - no need to get THAT nasty. LOL!

Reminds me of when my girlfriend got drunk and used my beard trimmer on her WhoHaa. Looks good on you though, really.

It looks good, as for gay, well, that depends on the width of your stance... :)

I would shave the stuff on the sides and then see what you think before you decide to shave it all off.

Neither here nor there:

I just heard a Fox News entertainment reporter exclaim "Viola!" She intended to say "Voila!" I kind of like her malapropism.

So I'll break in my new catchphrase of 2008 with a comment on your facial hair.

Viola!
