Republican Terrorists

Ex- Lawmaker Charged in Terror Conspiracy

"WASHINGTON - A former congressman and delegate to the United Nations was indicted Wednesday on charges of working for an alleged terrorist fundraising ring that sent more than $130,000 to an al-Qaida supporter who has threatened U.S. and international troops in Afghanistan.

Mark Deli Siljander, a Michigan Republican when he was in the House, was charged with money laundering, conspiracy and obstructing justice for allegedly lying about being hired to lobby senators on behalf of an Islamic charity that authorities said was secretly sending funds to terrorists

Yeah.

Republicans will keep us safe from Islamic extremists.

Unless they can make a few quick bucks on the side by selling us out to line their own pockets.

Gee that Alaskan oilfield looks mighty tempting doesn't it...or maybe the coast of Florida. Then again, we wouldn't want to disturb the environment, now would we. $5.00/gallon gas here we come!!!

travelingal: I understand that Republicans are conservative, but nowhere in their energy proposals do they give any serious thought to energy conservation or a truly epic effort to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuel. It's always "just drill more." Hydrocarbons are a finite resource, and if we don't get proactive on new technologies, we are going to look like Eastern Europe in the 50's come a few more decades. There will come a time when pulling the last few drops of oil out of the ground just is not worth the cost.

Really, the only imagination Republicans ever show is in new and slimier ways to keep poor people from voting and in stealing elections in any way possible.

Oh, and I notice that you did not address the point that the traitor slimeball was a former Republican congress-critter. Just imagine if he had been a Democrat. I can feel the FOX "breaking news" chiron now.

Kanga is totally right on this one. None of the Republican presidential candidates have proposed a solid energy strategy.

The Democrats on the other hand have proposed... well, they think we should... er, they want to...

But thank gods they are taking security seriously by proposing the addition of anti-missile technology to domestic passenger jets at a cost of $10 BILLION!

Kanga, He is worse than a slime ball, a traitor, throw away the key on that creep. He's a total disgrace to the Republican party. Satisfied?

As far as the energy policy, I had a solar house in 1979! It didn't work worth a damn, but the point is that we've been working on this technology for how long? Neither the democrats nor the republicans ae worth a damn when it comes to eliminating our dependence on fossil fuels.
