I Can Die Happy Now.

My 14 year old daughter, young Galadriel Tanqueray Onassis, just informed me that I am her Best Friend.

Life is good.

Nothing else really matters.

Cool! You can't die now, it would break her heart. So take better care of yourself. There's not enough good dads out there.

I think maybe my kid did the same thing but she chose to express the sentiment with a knuckle-out punch to my shoulder blade.

That girl can hit.

In the interest of full disclosure I *had* just poked a spot on her knee after saying "AWESOME BRUISE GIRL!" in praise of soccer field battle scar.

Potato / potato.

I think there's a pretty proud papa wound around a young lady's finger somewhere in Independence, Mo.

Nooo! You can't die now. We need cool dads around. :-) I'm glad your daughter feels that way about you.

We went to see Juno last night with Michelle and Eric, and I was just bawling on my way out thinking of the good relationship the girl has with her father.

Mine passed away almost 8 years ago, and I still haven't gotten over it. I never will.
