WOW!
I was surprised to see that the Kansas City Star's "Crime Scene KC" site linked to my post about red light cams and DUI laws.
"Legitimate" media sources never link to me because:
A) I'm not a source of any media.
B) I'm boring as fuck.
C) I say fuck a lot.
But the star did and I had over 450 page views today. I think that's an all time record.
I know for most of you that's a slow day, but it's a lot for me.
I hardly ever even check how many hits I get because I quit caring a long time ago. I kinda like not getting many visitors. I'd get scared if I started getting big numbers. I prefer to keep a low profile.
Wanna know what I like about my visitors?
I hardly ever get anonymous comments or spam.
I know most of my commetors and I like all of the ones I do know.
I'm happy with that.
I don't want a bunch of strangers and riff raff coming in here, soiling the carpet and stuffing their pockets with the appetizers.
I like things just the way they are.

So does this mean I should keep lurking and not comment?
Donna- You've been around here. I'd vouch for you.
XO- I due understand how you feel. Laundry isn't getting done because of so many blogs I read. If they come, I meet them, then I read them. Vicious circle!
donna - you're family. :)
spyder - I know. I now have less than an hour to get ready for work tomorrow.
so my carpet soiling pocket stuffing is grandfathered in though right?
crse - Absolutely!
Let me clarify. I love visitors and commentors and anyone who stops by is welcome. Anyone.
But unlike some other bloggers, I'm just not out there promoting my blog and trying to drive as many people as I can to visit.
I'm not interested in being the most popular blog on the internets or even in my cul de sac. I don't give a shit about that.
I'm here, I'm posting. I'm accessible. People can find me if they want to. They can ignore me if they want to.
I have a nice bunch of folks who stop by on a regular basis. Some of us get together sometimes and have fun together. Sometimes we even volunteer together.
Some of them I am lucky enough to count as friends. Not "on-line friends". Real friends.
I'm happy. Blogging is good.
So, thank you all.
You're welcome! LOL! We love you too!
I get fully 75% of my hits from one post out of the 2400 or so I've written. Put up a pic of a gal hitting the bong, and put "bong" in the title and there you go, instant hits.
I'm more curious as to what people read once they get to my site than how many, per se.
