Replacing traffic lights with 4-way stops has some seeing red

I really don't see why this is an issue.

I'm in the urban core every day and I have NEVER seen a pedestrian use a designated crosswalk.

They just casually stroll out into the middle of the fucking street like it's a goddamn public park and they don't give damn if a car is coming.

I think they actually want to get hit. Why waste the electricity on stoplights if nobody is paying any attention to them?
