Testing The Wind - An Informal Blogger Poll
Your Blog is Your Domain.
Your space in the world to say whatever you want.
We are all Attention Whores. We all want to think that EVERYONE is breathlessly following our every post in search of enlightenment.
But my question is, what kind of comments do you want/expect?
Do you expect a readership and comments that support your view of the world and do you see all opposing viewpoints as "spam"?
Or do you encourage the open exchange of ideas and encourage analysis and debate?
Or, are you (like me most times) just wanting to rant and stir shit up and don't really care what anyone thinks?
Am I really interested in your thoughtful responses?
Yes, I am.
Is this also just a pathetic attempt to rack up lots of comments?
Yes. It is.

Do you mean to say that EVERYONE is NOT breathlessly following MY every post in search of enlightenment.
I just want someone to post a comment on my blog because my blog is so tired of touching itself and not in the good way.
My posts are 100% unmoderated. Unless of course, a certain post could get me in legal trouble.
I like to get all kinds of comments - I've never deleted anything for content, and don't intend to, unless, as Chris notes, it could result in legal trouble (and I've gone pretty far down that road as well).
I just want my wife to write and remind me to do my chores.
"Roldy please remember to re-pot that plant and that you promised to buy a new mop. And remember my Ma needs a hotel booked for September and you promised her you'd help..."
and so forth.
I feel it is exactly what a blogger needs to bring them back to planet earth. But she never does. For some reason she thinks it would make me angry.
roldy - wouldn't that constitute "e-nagging"?
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Xavier. You don't use the N word! You NEVER use the N word. "E-helpful reminders" we'll call them.
Sheesh man, you batchelors playing fast and loose with the N word.
I can do that.
I'm single.
Ahahahahahahahaha!
Yes XO, you are a comment whore. I love comments. Even the chickenshit anonymous ones.
as long as a comment isn't senselessly vulgar or rude, I welcome it. And the more well-thought-out it is, the better. Of course, I've been gone from the blogging scene for nearly three years now, only having returned two months ago, so I don't get too many of any kind. Yet.
I like all kinds of comments and I let them all stay on the blog. Of course, if it's some kind of bullshit right-wing moral majority condemnation, I retain the right to dissect their illogic in public. Other than that, it's free speech all the way.
And hi, btw.
